Crystal - As someone who works in the industry, albeit on a totally different plane, I thought your promotion was a great idea! Too bad the people in Denver couldn't lighten up and enjoy themselves. I am looking forward to making my first ever trip to LV in a couple of weeks for the TIA Pow Wow, and I will be going out of my way to get my picture taken with two - or more - showgirls! Congrats to LV for making Tourism Week a real event and for trying to do something to show why it's such a key attraction in the US tourism picture. I hope this is just a taste of the hospitality I can expect when I am in town.

Las Vegas is doing an outstanding job of reaching across the pond to the Europeans. They know Las Vegas!

I just returned from a trip to Europe where I was promoting small North Carolina towns and learned how popular Las Vegas is! I saw quite a few TV ads. Way to go!

Some people on the street that I talked to wanted to know where North Carolina is in relationship to New York, Orlando, Las Vegas and California. That tells me all of us could be doing a better job.

And now, with the dollar so darned weak, we should all be vying for the Euro. Europeans think a visit to America is inexpensive. They can fill our hotel beds when many Americans are using their money just to pay bills.

I invite you to check out my blog - http://gretastips.blogspot.com. I am a tourism writer and promoter too!
